''Where do I start… this course was almost life changing for me in many ways! It enabled me to learn and also really develop my drawing skills. The clarity of the course was incredible It was very easy follow along. I learnt a lot about the difference between the mediums, I learnt how and when to use which tool. I also learnt about being patient with your drawing , that patience help me enter a peaceful state of mind which I loved! She was also open to answering further questions that I had off topic which was very helpful. If you want to develop your skills you should certainly invest in yourself, it was one of the best investments I’ve ever made. Amazing experience !''

I took part in this course when it First launched. All the steps are so clear and easy to follow! And I APPRECIATE THAT SO MUCH! But I also appreciate that the different tools and mediums were shown at the beginning with some alternatives and with an explanation about why we need them and how to use them in different ways. So it was not only following the artist and copying what she is doing it really was understanding and learning for the future. The possibility to watch the course again is also brilliant so I can easily just rewatch it in a few months or also years to see what she told about certain things or I can Just draw it again to see my own development again.
I always knew that I am good at drawing but I could never imagine that I am able to draw THIS piece. My drawing skills improved so much and I will practice even more cause there is still some room for improvement''

About the artist
Oumaima Choua (b.1997) is a self-taught artist of Moroccan heritage who was born in The Netherlands.
Her hyperrealistic portraits explore the psychology of her subjects by portraying them on large canvasses. Choua has crafted her style over many years, experimenting with shapes, textures, tones and different medium.
Using her preferred medium of graphite and charcoal, Choua uses her large scale works to evoke the emotions, thoughts and feelings of her subjects whilst capturing the essence of the human experience. Her striking use of light and tone immortalise the figures in her work, giving them an ethereal quality. Often bare skinned and in dramatic poses, each work tells a story of not only the creative process but the artist’s own connection with the figures she recreates.
For Oumaima Choua, drawing has been a part of her her whole life. As a curious and observant youngster, Choua loved to explore the colours and shapes found in her surroundings. On the blank page her imagination runs wild. Her works are a limitless space in which she expresses her freedom and creativity, giving people stories and worlds where they can project their own experiences.
As she continues to perfect her style, Choua has debuted her work at the International Art Fair 2021 in the Van Gogh Gallery, Austria.
